All Qstarz LT-Q6000 units shipped from this site will come with a suction cup windscreen mount for use with cars. Qstarz do have a handlebar mount option but we do not sell these as we have found them to not be effective on race bikes because of the lack of room on slip-on handlebars. Instead, we chose to recommend using a similar mounting method that we have developed for the RaceChrono Lap Timer using 3M Dual Lock Mounting Tape.
Firstly you'll need to attach the backing plate used to adapt the Q6000 unit to the windscreen mount, this will give you a bit of a flat surface to work with. You can then apply some 3M Dual Lock Tape to the backing plate on the timer and a second bit to a flat surface on the bike, such as the triple clamp, front of the tank, or even the dash. All bikes are different so you'll need to experiment to find the position that works best. Ideally, if you make up a bracket from plate alloy that you can attach to the bike, it will give you a flat surface to mount to.
